Nodar Kharshiladze: Bilateral military cooperation is the main element of partnership between Georgia and the United States
The visit of Secretary of State Pompeo is primarily an opportunity to expand cooperation between our countries. Bilateral military cooperation is the main element of the strategic partnership between Georgia and the United States. We have a serious positive experience in conducting joint military operations in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Equally important is the political presence of the United States in the region. Do not forget about the financial component, and most importantly, this should be a clear signal both for Russia and for any country negatively disposed towards Georgia that the United States is not leaving the region and that Georgia is a key ally of the United States.
